This saree gets its character from the weave itself rather than anything sewn on afterward. Soft muga cotton is worked with fine zari and meena threads into a pattern of ducks and lotus florals, scattered lightly across the body and building into a full scene on the tissue pallu, where pairs of ducks sit among leaves and blooms in a folk-art style. A tiny zari border with the same duck motif finishes the edge.
The gold tissue pallu gives the whole saree a soft sheen without any heavy embellishment weighing it down, so it drapes light and breathes well through the day. It comes as a running blouse, cut from the same fabric as the saree, ready for you to have tailored in a matching finish.
