A white saree covered in red roses is a bolder take on the classic Durga Puja pairing. This soft organza drape carries all-over red thread embroidery of full-bloom roses and trailing vines that run from the pleats up through the pallu. The organza is sheer and light, so the embroidery seems to float, and the edge finishes in a neat red scallop.
The matching blouse piece in the same organza carries the rose embroidery, and the neckline and sleeves can be edged in red as shown. Add red and white shakha-pola bangles, a gold chain and sindoor for Sindoor Khela, or swap in pearls for a Diwali evening or a friend's wedding.
