This saree plays with contrast between sheer and solid. The base is a light, translucent silk with an organza-like crispness, and running through it are wide wavy panels of dense cording zari that look almost like woven metal. Tiny five-petal flowers in matching thread trace the edges of each wave, and the pallu and hem finish in a clean scalloped border.
The zari panels curve across the pallu and hem, so the saree shimmers in bands rather than all over. That keeps it easy to wear for long evenings. Choose mauve, beige or sage, each with soft gold zari. The matching blouse piece carries the same flower embroidery with a scalloped sleeve edge. Add a pearl vine necklace for engagements, receptions and festive dinners.
