Bright red satin silk, cut into a short A-line kurta with a slit round neckline. The yoke is covered in mirror work set into gold lace, and the same mirror lace trims the flared cuffs and the hem. The rest of the kurta stays plain, so the mirrors pick up every bit of light and do all the talking.
Off white satin silk pants with an elasticated waist and a cuffed hem balance the red and keep the look fresh. The sheer off white organza dupatta carries small mirror buttis and a scalloped red mirror border. Add a choker and block heels for mehendi, Karwa Chauth or a festive lunch with family.
