Two shades of pink run through every kali of this lehenga. Deep rani panels alternate with a softer rose, so the 5 metre flair opens into bands of colour the moment you turn. A canvas patta at the hem gives the skirt weight and body, which means it holds its shape through a full night of garba or sangeet dancing instead of falling flat.
The choli carries all the work. Heavy thread embroidery in pink, green and blue frames rows of real mirrors, with large mirror medallions at the bust and centre front. Beaded latkans finished with thread tassels swing from the hem as you move. As styled here, the back is cut open with dori ties and tassels, a look your tailor can recreate from the unstitched piece. Add oxidised silver jewellery and let the mirrors catch the light.
