This gown takes its cue from Rajwadi patchwork textiles, the kind where every panel tells its own story. Peacocks, cranes, florals, and paisleys sit inside gold-outlined blocks of red, teal, mustard, and indigo, each one hand embroidered onto pure crepe. The square neckline sits close to the collarbone, sleeves run to 16 inches, and a cotton lining underneath keeps the crepe from clinging even after a full evening of dancing.
The skirt is cut with enough flare to swing properly at a sangeet or garba night, and the border repeats the same panelled motif so the hem reads as finished rather than plain. A heavy micro cotton pant grounds the outfit, and the digital print organza dupatta with its lace border pulls the whole palette together instead of competing with it. Wear it once and you will understand why this print never really goes out of season.
