Deep purple works harder than most colours on a lehenga. It photographs rich indoors and outdoors, and it lets the gold zari and sequin florals scattered across the skirt do the talking. The embroidery builds up toward the hem, where dense floral clusters give the flare a proper finished edge instead of trailing off into plain fabric.
The blouse carries the same zari and sequin florals across a sweetheart neckline, and the dupatta stays simple, plain vichitra silk with a lace border, so it doesn't compete with the skirt's detailing.
