Rows of mor pankh motifs run around this anarkali, each peacock feather worked in gold zari thread with a green and blue eye at the centre. The feathers start small on the bodice, grow into full bands across the skirt and meet a deep arched border at the hem, layered with zari and sequins and finished in a scalloped edge. Heavy shimmer silk gives the whole piece a soft sheen that picks up the gold.
The full sleeves carry wide embroidered cuffs that match the hem border, and the square neckline keeps the front clean. At the back, a tie-up dori closes the bodice. The dupatta in the same shimmer silk has a scalloped zari sequin border on all sides with scattered feather motifs, and plain micro cotton pants complete the set. Chandbalis and embroidered juttis finish it off.
