The jacquard weave on this skirt does something special as it catches light, shifting from a deeper shade at the waist into a softer tone toward the hem, with a woven floral pattern running throughout and sequin embroidery tracing the border. The fabric is stitched over a canvas patta base to hold its shape and give the flare enough body to move well, and a cotton inner keeps it comfortable to wear through a long event. A latkan tassel on the dori closure adds a nice finishing touch at the waist.
The blouse takes a completely different tone, an ivory peplum top in tissue jacquard with a small woven butti pattern, sequin and zari cording embroidery along the sweetheart neckline, and short puff sleeves that soften the whole silhouette. The fitted bodice flares out into a peplum hem for a flattering, structured shape. Together the contrast between the cream top and the richly colored skirt gives you a look that stands out at a sangeet or festive family gathering.
