The bodice on this one is styled like an open jacket layered over the gown, with a multicolour thread embroidered floral panel framed in gota patti and set with real mirror and codi lace work. It sits at an angle across the chest rather than straight, which gives it a more relaxed, layered look than a typical fitted yoke, finished with small tassels dropping from the hem.
Full sleeves in kora cotton keep the arms covered comfortably, and the skirt falls into a soft 4 meter flair, gathered rather than dramatically tiered, so it moves easily through a full day. A cotton lining runs the entire length underneath. At the back, the bodice splits into a butterfly shape with a tie closure between the two panels, giving you a bit of an open-back moment without losing structure.
