This lehenga keeps its base simple so the colour contrast can do the work. The ivory roman silk skirt runs a clean 6 metre flair with a gold zari border along the hem, and a canvas waistband underneath helps it sit smoothly at the waist without bunching. It's the kind of piece that photographs equally well standing still or spinning across a dance floor.
The choli switches to a rich magenta, covered edge to edge in heavy thread and sequin embroidery worked into swirling medallions with pops of green. Built-in cups mean no extra layer needed underneath. The dupatta matches the choli's colour and embroidery, finished in faux georgette with the same thread and sequin work, and it comes with playful pink and green check tassels at the corners for that festive finishing touch.
