Emerald Peplum Zari Lehenga

This one skips the usual embroidery-heavy route and leans on the fabric itself. The lehenga skirt is woven in a Kanchipuram style, its ivory base carrying rich zari work along the hem in a running border rather than scattered motifs, so the shine comes from the weave, not from sequins stitched on after. A canvas layer and micro crepe inner sit underneath, giving the skirt enough structure to hold its four metre flair through a full evening.

Up top, an emerald satin silk peplum breaks from the usual blouse shape, cinched at the waist with a zari-bordered band and finished with the same zari trim at the shoulders and cuffs. Full sleeves and a front tie closure give it a more tailored, jacket-like feel than a typical choli. Together, the deep green against the ivory and gold makes this a set that reads elegant without needing heavy embellishment to get there.
