This one is built to spin. A full 12 metre flare gathers into tiers down the kora cotton skirt, each tier marked off by a gota lace stripe that catches light every time you turn. The waist sits at 42 inches with a chain closure and dori latkan for adjustment, and a cotton inner keeps things comfortable through hours of dandiya. It's the kind of lehenga that earns its keep on the dance floor, not just for standing around in.
Up top, an embroidered kutchi patchwork bralette sits under a long open jacket in bandhani-print faux georgette, full sleeves and a 48 inch length that swings loose as you move. The jacket does double duty as your drape, so there's no separate dupatta to manage while you're dancing. Stitched at a 40 inch base with give from 38 to 44 inches, it's forgiving enough to wear comfortably through a long night out.
