Ivory and maroon is a pairing that never looks unsure of itself. The kurta is cut in chinon silk with a fine crinkled texture, and the lower half carries a wide panel of gold thread and sequin motifs that catch light as you move. Matching work frames the round neckline and the cuffs, with small buttis scattered across the body in between.
Underneath, a flared chinon skirt with an elastic waist swirls out wide and ends in its own sequin border. The maroon faux georgette dupatta brings the contrast, with a heavy embroidered edge, scattered floral buttis, and jhumka tassels at the corners. Add polki jhumkas and a bindi and you're set for a nikah, mehendi, or festive dinner.
